The EffectiVe Social Integration Of mobile EU citizeNs (EnVISION) project establishes the principle of a two-way process, with an aim to foster the successful inclusion and participation of mobile EU citizens and their family members in the host EU country's civic and political life and their participation in the democratic life of the EU.

The EnVISION project will establish an innovative three-dimensional methodology on active participation, embracing all three major stakeholder groups: a) Local Administrative Staff and Experts, b) Local Societies and c) mobile EU citizens themselves- in a common “space” of interaction.

The project is funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Commission and is implemented by:

The EnVISION project aims to provide a solid methodology on including mobile EU citizens in public consultation during the design and implementation of local Activities, aiming at a raise of interest and increase of their active participation.

An innovative three-dimensional methodology for active participation in local societies will be developed and pilot tested.

The three major stakeholder groups will be involved in the preparation of a new consensus where the role of mobile EU citizens in the creation of socio-economic prosperity at local level, is going to be established.

Tailor made training activities are going to be designed and delivered for mobile EU citizens, Local public administration staff and experts, members of local societies, in order to boost effective relations among them.

This is the first attempt of providing a solid methodology on including mobile EU citizens in public consultation during the design and implementation of local Activities, aiming at a raise of interest and increase of their active participation. An innovative three-dimensional methodology for active participation in local societies will be developed and pilot tested.

• Foster the successful inclusion and participation of mobile EU citizens and their family members in the host EU country's civic and political life and their participation in the democratic life of the EU;
• Increase capacity of Public Administration authorities & experts in local level in the participating countries to enable and facilitate the participation of mobile EU citizens in their host Member State;
• Improve the availability, awareness and participation of mobile EU citizens in civic activities in their host communities;

Specific objectives include:

• The introduction of mobile EU citizens to the Public Consultation process, during the formulation of Local Interventions,
• emphasis on educational and social activities, including unrepresented persons such as women and young people. This is going to be achieved through the development of a reasonable, adaptable methodology for the sustainable promotion of active participation of mobile EU citizens in local societies.

The EnVISION methodology is holistic and includes activities affecting every major target groups, local administrative staff and experts, local societies and finally mobile EU citizens themselves, achieving a common space where these three dimensions co-exist. This common space, is going to be founded on a “common language spoken” by the three major parts of the project, resulting to a new era of active participation of mobile EU citizens in local societies.
